Pompeii

Pompeii was an ancient Roman city in the Italian region of Campania. The city was destroyed by an in fuming eruption of  Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Many of their remains from their daily lives were all preserved under ash which led us to investigate their designs for the home.

This was used to hold food or wine in which we use similar structure in the kitchen that we might call an island today.
